3. If using the service pin to identify the board on the network,

press the service pin (next to the blinking LED on the main

board).

4. Repeat steps 1–3 for the display. The service pin for the display is

an unmarked key on the keypad (see Figure 37-1).

Add a functional block

1. Drag and drop a “Functional Block” to the LonMaker drawing

window (see figure on Page 36).

2. The New Functional Block Wizard appears. Select the name

given to the main board device; then select the “Create shapes

for all network variables” check box.

3. Repeat steps 1–2 for the display.

Bind main board and display*

1. Drag and drop a “Connector Tool” to the drawing window

in LonMaker and connect “nvoToDisp” from main to

“nviFromMain” on the display.

2. Drag and drop a “Connector Tool” to the drawing window

in LonMaker and connect “nvoToMain” on the display to

“nviFromDisp” on the main.

3. To initiate communication between the main board and display,

cycle power twice to Vapor-logic

by disconnecting and then

reconnecting main power to the humidifier. Communication can

also be initiated by sending a Reset command to both the Main

and Keypad/display nodes in the Lon network manager.

Verify the Vapor-logic

configuration string

See Page 63 for instructions on how to use the System Set Up

menu to access and change the Vapor-logic

configuration string.

See Pages 32 and 33 for more information about the configuration

string.

When the humidifier demand is controlled by LonTalk, the last

position of the configuration string must be set to the letter L as

shown in the following list of options for that position:

IMPORTANT

If you commission multiple humidifier

systems within BAS control scheme and

relocate any humidifier Vapor-logic

control components within the system,

you must decommission the component

controls at their present location and then

recommission them at their new location

and name.

page, and then go to the Link Manager

and execute a bind to create the LonTalk

bindings. Complete the binding process

by resetting the nodes or cycling power
